That's right, Amy (aka "javelina") and Lucie (aka "ms. smutcycle") are
done riding... our amazing 4.5 month bicycle trip - which started one hot day in Texas, back in early June 2004
- is finished, and we're back at home, safely.
Our bicycle adventure took us from Corpus Cristi Texas, through the Gulf Coast
of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and back north along parts of the western coast of Mexico toward the US... originally, this trip
was slated to end in Panama (Texas to Panama), but along the way, we changed our goals and come up with the new, eXCiTIng
route back up through Mexico. We really wanted to see the other coast of Mexico and not rush through to Panama so fast! We're
really happy with the trip, having made it around 4,500 miles...
Our friend Harlan ''hotdogface'' met us in the Yucatan, Mexico- to ride
for part of the trip to Guatemala. Anywhoo, this website is about what fun and debauchery took place!
This trip is something we're planning to write an
amazing, one-of-a-kind touring book about, from several peoples' perspectives. It'll include road conditions, all sortsa
details and specifics of bicycling through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala as it pertains to the ladies, and more. There
aren't many touring books out there on this topic, and w eplan to make this an amazing project that you'll all want to have
a copy of, no doubt. We'll keep you posted.
